Terms and definitions

  • AGREEMENT OF RECOGNITION: Agreement with a contract value that binds the companies applying and the Body of Control, through which the companies can exhibit the Mark of Conformity to the agreed conditions.
  • CERTIFICATION OF CONFORMITY: Document by which the Body of Control certifies that the companies tested and evaluated products meet the requirements of the Disciplinary SPC.
  • DISCIPLINARY SPC: Document that determines the purpose of the voluntary program of adjustment and the requirements of business plans and products.
  • MARK OF CONFORMITY: Logo that can be reported on products and documents, accompanied by a QR code (which refers to a link provided by the Body of Control), under conditions dictated by the Agreement of Recognition.
  • BODY OF CONTROL: Organization entrusted by the trademark holder Pet Safe Cosmetics for compliance verification of corporate schemes and products.
  • PRODUCT INFORMATION FILE (PIF): Collection of information required for human cosmetics, according to Regulation EC 1223/2009, art. 11.
  • RECOGNITION OF COMPLIANCE: Act whereby the Body of Control checks that the company tested and evaluated products meet the requirements of the Disciplinary SPC.
  • SAFE PET COSMETICS (SPC): Voluntary program that concerns the business conduct and requirements of cosmetic products for animals.
